Try Alpha.

Unpack the basics of the Christian faith together. No pressure, no judgement. Just open conversation over some good food. Come along, and see what you think!

Alpha is a space to…

  • 1. Meet new people

Each session starts with some time to eat, relax and get to know your group over good food together.

  • 2. Watch a talk

Each session covers a different question of faith, either in a short talk or video. The Alpha talks are designed to give an overview of the key beliefs of the Christian faith.

  • 3. Share your thoughts

The last part of an Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in your small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion. There’s no pressure to say anything, but the floor is yours if you do want to.

Launch Night: Feb. 2 at 6:30pm

UPCOMING EXPERIENCES

Fall 2025

Rockharbor | 345 Fischer Ave
Registration is full

  • People at a buffet table during a social gathering, serving themselves food and talking.

    What is Alpha?

Alpha is an open and informal series of conversations over dinner to explore questions about life, spirituality, meaning, and the person of Jesus. It’s a space where no question is off the table and sharing your own experience and perspective is encouraged. Each week focuses on a question about the Christian faith and invites small group discussion in a non-judgmental low-pressure environment.

  • A man with a mustache and short brown hair, wearing a light blue short-sleeved shirt, is standing on stage holding a microphone in his right hand, speaking to an audience. There is a large blue screen behind him and musical instruments are visible on stage.

    Is Alpha for me?

Alpha is for anyone and everyone who has questions about the Christian faith. People from all backgrounds are welcome— no matter where you find yourself with faith, God, or church— we would love to invite you to join us. If you are considering Alpha, we would encourage you to try it out on launch night and see what you think!

  • A young man with curly hair and a dark T-shirt is sitting at a table in a crowded room, smiling and holding a canned beverage, engaged in conversation with others around him.

What’s included in a typical night of Alpha?

Each night consists of dinner, a short talk on a topic or question followed by a small group discussion about that topic. The small group time is a chance to process, ask questions, express doubts or confusion and learn from other people’s experiences and perspectives.
