Disaster Response
There are many occurrences in our world today that call for extreme and immediate action. Natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, fires, and tornadoes or man-made situations as in oil-spills and acts of war or terror all call for a coming-together for the sake of others in practical and strategic ways.
Jesus calls us from awareness to compassion and into action for the people He created, loves, and hears. Perhaps at no other time does the church have the kind of opportunity to be the church, to be His ambassadors, more than it does in these extreme times of need and distress.
ROCKHARBOR steps into this call and prayerfully responds to each situation as they come. Through our First Fruits Ministry, funds are often allocated to meeting specific needs in disaster situations. We also have medical and professional personnel within our church community who are ready to organize and respond as needed.
