At ROCKHARBOR, the arts are a vital part of expressing who God is and telling the story of His work in our lives and our church. Through a variety of performances, galleries, and workshops, we are always seeking to engage and develop artists of all kinds, finding new ways to inspire our church and our community by utilizing creativity to point out the wonder of God.
Take a look at the various teams to see where you can contribute:
The theater is a place for telling powerful, meaningful and life-changing stories—stories that reveal the world the way it is, the way it was, and the way it might someday be. Telling these stories requires the skill and collaboration of people with varying gifts, including: acting, directing, writing, stage-managing and designing.
This team will help you hone your craft and find opportunities to be a part of performances and projects.
No matter how carefully we may choose our words, research tells us that 93% of what we’re really saying is expressed through body language. Dance harnesses the power of non-verbal communication to speak in deep and meaningful ways, potently displaying truth through the beauty, power, and creativity of movement.
This team affords many opportunities to perform as well as serve with others who share a passion for dance.
So much more than just making things beautiful, this team strives to design spaces that are inviting, that are experiential, that are intriguing, and that beg questions. The Look Team requires seeing ordinary things in extraordinary ways and combining them into meaningful environments. This group works to create all kinds of spaces including our weekend celebration stages, production set designs and other gathering areas.
If you like to think creatively about how the aesthetics of a space can define the experience become a part of this team.
The Visual Arts team is dedicated to finding unique ways to express truth through visual mediums, including: paint, sculpture, illustration, graphic design, photography, and live performance art.
From galleries to discussions, this team is always finding new outlets for artistic expression.
The Build team is the backbone of the arts because this group constructs the sets, worship environments, experiences, and galleries seen throughout ROCKHARBOR’s campuses. In essence, nothing happens without the Build team working in the background.
Whether you’re an experienced builder or a hobbyist, all levels of experience are welcome.
From emotional epics to animated adventures, motion pictures have become a common language for telling stories, shaping ideas and sharing truth. The film team utilizes the talents of writers, directors, cinematographers, and many others to tell the stories of God’s movement in and through ROCKHARBOR through film.
