How We Celebrate

Celebrating Easter at the OC Fairgrounds

Since 2006, ROCKHARBOR has held Easter services in the Pacific Amphitheatre. The reason being is simple…to invite as many people as we can into the greatest news in history: the tomb is empty and Jesus is risen. If we held Easter services within the normal rhythm of ROCKHARBOR’s weekend services and venues, our reach wouldn’t stretch much further than our own community. But, with the favor God has given us with the Fairgrounds, we are able to invite the entire county to join us in the Pacific Amphitheatre. We’re able to create space for all the people in our lives…our friends, our families, our co-workers, our neighbors…to hear the greatest story we could ever tell.

Good Friday

Good Friday is a time to revisit the extraordinary concept of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. To sit in reverent astonishment as we consider an instrument of torture to be an instrument of profound beauty and hope. Good Friday services involve worship through music, creative elements such as video or dance, and teaching.

Easter Services

Easter morning at the Pacific Amphitheatre is the culmination of joy, a celebration of life rising out of death. Within the 8,000-seat Pacific Amphitheatre, we declare with reckless abandon that the tomb is empty and Jesus has defeated death. We celebrate through music, creative elements such as drama or dance, life stories, and teaching. We present Jesus’ Gospel in the best ways we know how and then simply try to create room for God’s Spirit to lead people to respond, whether that’s in saying yes to Jesus for the first time, reorienting their lives toward Jesus, or being baptized.
