Big God Story

Arts and crafts. Games. Laughter. Bible stories. Sun. Snacks. More games. Volunteers. And, of course, kids!

It can only mean one things…The Big God Story, RH’s VBS.

Each summer, we bring kids from around the county to a week-long experience centered on Jesus and His message. The Big God Story is something the entire ROCKHARBOR community participates in each summer. From our volunteers giving their time, opening their homes, giving their resources, rallying their neighborhood to come join the fun, to our kids leading the way in celebrating Jesus, there is a part for everyone to play.

Celebrating the 2011 Big God Story

There are many stories to be told and celebrated from our 2011 Big God Story week. Here are some brief statistics to celebrate:

• Over 28 sites across Orange County
• 12 cities represented
• More than 800 kids reached with the Gospel message
• 75% of the kids were unchurched…including hundreds that had never heard of Jesus
• More than 150 kids made first-time decisions for Jesus
• More than $3,500 raised for Giving Children Hope – to provide school supplies for kids as well as food for their families for a month
