I’m New To RH…Where Do I Start?
Welcome to ROCKHARBOR. We’re glad you’re here.
You may have noticed that we are a church that is both passionate about and active in following Jesus in Orange County and beyond. With many different ministries, initiatives, and expressions of church, it might seem difficult to know where and how to start. Hopefully, this introduction can help with that. Because the reality is that everything that happens in and through RH is united under the same purpose.
Identity
Before doing anything, there’s a couple things that would be helpful to know, starting with who ROCKHARBOR is. We are a church of communities living out the gospel together. We are not simply weekend services. We are not people aimed at growing into a bigger builder with more seats and more gatherings in one location. Instead, our call is to be and raise up communities in and beyond this county that are founded on God’s word, led by His Spirit, where Jesus is the story. Communities that are unified under, sacrificing toward, and risking for the Gospel…all for the sake of the world knowing Jesus.
Belong
Together. It might be the last word in our vision statement but it’s certainly not least in any way. God calls His Church to be connected to each other, to live life alongside each other, to prefer each other in compelling ways, and to work together with Him in making our world new.
From a big picture, we dream of redefining what it means to be a family, brought together around the cause of the Gospel, marked by relationships that are far more compelling than we have known before. People that not only pursue God together but prefer each other in ways that don’t make sense apart from Jesus being the storyline.
Week to week, belonging happens at ROCKHARBOR in a variety of ways through things like Life Groups, Misisonal Communities, Campuses, Weekend Services, RH Serve teams, Connecting Events, Local Outposts, and more.

Purpose
God has chosen His Church as His plan for redeeming the world. Within every ROCKHARBOR ministry, initiative, and event is an underlying desire to see all people and all nations come to know Jesus. To be reconciled to Him. As Paul tells the Church in Corinth, “He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”
Where to Start
Ready to jump in?
The Starting Line is your first step into the life of ROCKHARBOR Church. It’s the place to learn about our history. It’s the place to learn about our vision and future. Our leadership structure. Our DNA. Our ministries. And perhaps most importantly, it’s the place for you to find out where God is inviting you to join our story.
The Starting Line is offered monthly at RH’s Central Campus with childcare available. If you are new or even if you’ve been around a while but haven’t made it beyond the weekends, come to the next Starting Line and discover your unique place in this community.
