Describe your job.
I maintain our community partnerships and oversee all local REACH efforts. Most recently, I have been given the chance to set up ROCKHARBOR’s local schools initiative and work with our city pastors to help extend local REACH into any city where a ROCKHARBOR campus exists.
Describe a normal day.

There is no normal day here.
Meetings…love ‘em or hate ‘em?

hate ‘em. but a little food or coffee served during the meeting DOES sweeten the deal.
Favorite accomplishment/project since joining staff?
One thing people don’t realize about the staff that they need to know?
That we [staff] are not ROCKHARBOR. We are not some separate entity that make up ROCKHARBOR. Everyone who attends here is ROCKHARBOR. Everyone has ownership.
Tell us a story of what you’ve seen God do through your ministry [use more than 10 if you need to].
I have seen people come together regardless of gender, race, religious denomination, etc to function as they body of Christ in a city. One story in particular is a program called ‘share your english’ where several churches have come together to make sure that every week, a local neighborhood with mostly second-language English speakers has a place to come and meet other local people who are willing to share their English with them. It’s the easiest thing in the world to speak in the language we were born with, and these people decided to share it with a few neighbors who were hungry to learn. As a result, everyone loves their neighborhood and made some new friends in the process.

Most embarrassing moment?
well it’s generally considered inappropriate to write about the things I have accidentally done which qualify as MOST embarrassing.. so slightly safer and further down is: Forgetting lyrics to the song I was singing at a wedding and making up the second half of the verse on the spot.
Favorite date spot in the OC?
I don’t really have favorites.. it’s more of a decision based on what fits the mood. For a great dinner and long conversation, I really like Gabby’s in orange. But.. and this is coming from a very non-sporty girl, I think batting cages and corn dogs is a total blast.
In the next 5 years, I will….
probably continuing not making 5 year plans
The best movie of all time is clearly…
everything is illuminated is SUCH a good movie. I don’t think it’s my favorite.. because I don’t think I have a favorite.. but it’s the one that comes to mind and I think it’s hysterical, and moving, and wonderfully quirky. Oh and Garden State.
Everyone should read…
the alchemist.. and the kite runner.. and the gift of being yourself.. and three cups of tea.. and memoirs of a geisha
Favorite Todd Proctor song?
Anything from the senior center days.
